The rest of the time he just walked back and forth while giving instructions. He actually seemed bored and his energy was so low it was as if he didn’t even wanna be there. 5 class during the afternoon, there was only 3 other people in there besides the instructor so I thought he would be a little more helpful… not the case. First off, the studio is much smaller than the west loop one. I only went here because I happened to be shopping in the area last week. Extremely clean, large, and overly helpful/friendly instructors. My usual CPY studio is the west loop one on Randolph.

They offer a free week to any new guest and there are often groupon deals. I highly recommend trying out ANY CorePower studio. CorePower has a large team of volunteer cleaners (who receive discounted membership in return) who keep the studios and locker rooms spotless. And HPF satisfies my desire to detox and reconnect. Sculpt satisfied my desire to get an intense workout. C 2 satisfies my desire to stretch and reconnect to myself, yet still work my muscles.

My favorites are C 2 and Sculpt, however HPF is also an amazing class. That being said, all the classes have a different level of heat, and a different level of activity to go along with the heat. Well, CorePower 1 is technically not, but it’s still a warm room. My experience has been nothing but positive ever since. I had very limited yoga experience when I first walked in to CorePower, and they were so encouraging and friendly to me. CorePower prides itself on being warm and welcoming to everyone. It may not be at my preferred studio, but it will be somewhere in Chicago. I have an odd schedule, but I can ALWAYS find the class I want to go to at a time I like. In fact, I love it so much that I’ve gone as far as train to be a CorePower teacher! What sets CorePower apart from every other workout place I’ve ever been: - The number of studios and classes. If I can squeeze in a class every day, I do. I feel a bit silly reviewing CorePower since I practically live at the studios, but I suppose that’s why I should review! I’ve been going to CorePower since 2013 and I’ve never stopped.

If I had known this would be so difficult and they would be so inflexible about a trial period that they so openly advertise, I wouldn’t have even bothered. He then reached out saying they were actually going to be closed for even longer and he would get back to me after the holidays.

When the manager finally got back to me, he said I could move my free week but I would have to pay full price for the classes I had taken. I reached out as soon as I got home but didn’t hear back until three days later (in the meantime I went to a few classes in case there was nothing they could do). I immediately asked the girls at the front desk if there was anything I could do to move my free week to a time when they’d be fully operational and they happily gave me the business cards for the managers. I signed up for the free week and was pretty excited to try it out, but at the end of my first class they announced they’d be closed for reconstruction for half of the following week.

I’m not usually one to write reviews, but I had a terrible customer service experience at this location.
